The exact measurements of the carbon frame, what it covers on your plate, and how to check before you order.

Fitment for other plate standards is to be confirmed. If your plate is a different size, ask before ordering.

What the frame covers
A plate frame sits over the edge of the plate — this one is not an exception, and the bottom rail is deeper than the top.
Your plate is 152 mm tall and the frame opening is 120 mm, so about 32 mm of plate height sits behind the frame. Roughly 25 mm of that is at the bottom and about 7 mm at the top.
On most plates the bottom 25 mm is where the state or province name, slogan or registry website is printed. Expect that to be covered. The registration number itself is not affected.
The top rail is narrow, but the two mounting notches dip lower than the rest of it. A validation sticker placed right into a top corner can be clipped by a notch.
Check your own plate before you order
This takes a minute and is worth doing, because sticker placement and plate rules vary by state and province.
- Measure 25 mm (1 in) up from the bottom edge of your plate. Anything below that line will be hidden.
- Measure 7 mm (0.3 in) down from the top edge, and a little more at the two screw positions. Anything above that line will be hidden.
- Check where your validation sticker sits. If it is in a top corner, look closely at whether it falls under a mounting notch.
- Check your local rules. Some jurisdictions require the whole plate, including the state or province name and every sticker, to be unobstructed.
If your rules require an unobstructed plate
Then this frame is not the right choice, and no plate frame with a 30 mm bottom rail will be. We would rather say so here than have you find out after it arrives.
Mounting
The frame uses your existing plate screws through the two notched slots in the upper rail. Fit the plate into the frame, line up the slots, and tighten evenly — do not overtighten on the gloss finish.
Before the final turn, hold it against the car and check the coverage above one more time.

- Wash with the car.
- Avoid abrasive polish or compound on the gloss topcoat.
